Last month we revealed our David vs Goliath style campaign, standing up for independent brewers and encouraging consumers to drink locally.
Frustrated that beers like Doom Bar are taking over pumps on bars across our county, we erected a bold and provocative ad in a field on the borders of Wiltshire, Bath and Bristol (the intersection of the A46 and the A420). The ad depicts a noble knight astride the iconic white horse of Westbury doing battle with his nemesis.
Since then, it’s been a very busy month for us here at Box, the response from both trade and consumers has been mind blowing. We’ve been loud and proud on the radio and in local press and a top trade news story in Harpers and Morning Advertiser (not to blow our own funnel!). Most importantly we’ve had real conversations with real people about a very real issue.
We’re so grateful to everyone who has supported and continues to support this campaign. We’ve been sharing coverage on our social pages. For a recap of the campaign so far and to stay up to date with Box news, make sure to follow us on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
Since starting the campaign we’ve received countless positive messages, proving that this issue is important to beer fans. At a time when independent pubs are at risk (Britain’s pubs are still closing at a rate of 21 per week) it has never been more crucial to support local!
