Keeping it real ale

Cheers to Mike and Nicky from our sales team for taking traditional brewing and plenty of bottled beer love into the BBC Wiltshire studio today.

Over the reassuring clink of glass, they chatted live on air with lunchtime presenter Jonathan Fido about the power of beer to bring people together, notably in our great British institution, the pub! And they talked about Box Steam’s history, revealing how our Wiltshire-based business has grown from a formerly abandoned brewing site, to a much loved traditional style brewery, supplying real ales to pubs in local villages, towns and cities across the UK – and now 14 other countries.

We’ll announce more on this very soon. The exciting news this month is of course the launch of our brand new craft beers, Pony Truck and Steam Town. These joined Nicky and Mike on air earlier, providing much discussion. And clinking!

Phew, where has the time gone? We’ve been brewing for almost 15 years.

We’ll never produce factory style beer. Our creative brewers use hop flavours to their full, forever artful in the quite wondrous production of naturally flavoursome beer.

Our roots are firmly in the West Country, where we continue to be inspired by the engineering triumphs of the late great Isambard Kingdom Brunel.
