Pub of the week: the Flemish Weaver

We’re back in Wiltshire, in a 17th century ale house offering quality beers and service – with a definite difference.

This delightful high street pub takes its name from the group of Flemish weavers who fled religious persecution and in turn, resurrected Corsham’s woollen industry.

Following extensive refurbishment last year, the Flemish Weaver offers a truly characterful and welcoming spot for a drink, or better still, an extended visit, over a long lunch or evening meal.

Not only a feast for the eyes – you’ll find curiosities galore – but also a beer drinkers’ delight, it’s a pub with a regular cask rotation of four guest ales. Look out for our gloriously golden Piston Broke.

Our tip: treat yourselves this weekend and while away a cosy afternoon here.

Phew, where has the time gone? We’ve been brewing for almost 15 years.

We’ll never produce factory style beer. Our creative brewers use hop flavours to their full, forever artful in the quite wondrous production of naturally flavoursome beer.

Our roots are firmly in the West Country, where we continue to be inspired by the engineering triumphs of the late great Isambard Kingdom Brunel.
